Nice skiing in Sölden

by Niklas1972 - last update: Jan 28, 2006

Nice skiing area with two glaciers

The skiing area of Sölden
Sölden has relatively nice skiing area with two glaciers Tiefenbach and Rettenbach. Most of the slopes are red and blue categorised so it is nice and easy going skiing without any extreme experiences. The lift system is ok, though it is not a match to ski factory of Ishgl.

The village is quite ok, even though heavy traffic going through the main road of the village can be a bit disturbing.

Our hotel was gasthouse Gurglerhof which was very nice. Especially their spa department with a good sauna was a positive suprise.

In A Nutshell:"When talking about skiing.... Alps rules!"
