Holy Week is a special commemoration of Jesus' sacrifice for our sins...
Our procession reenacts how Jesus suffered and died through the images in the procession which in turn tells us the story and introduces to us the characters in the story...
As Catholics, we use this custom to remember and reflect on our sins... and how we were saved...
The Holy Week Procession in my town is very colorful and very well-participated...
Some respectable members of the community cares for an image used for the Holy Week procession...
They spend a lot for the maintenance and beautification of their images...
They spend money on their robes.. heavily decorated and adorned robes made of expensive fabric for the Holy Wednesday and of a more somber color (black) during the Holy Friday procession...
Also don't forget the accessories that goes with the images...
They also spend a lot on the floats which should be well-lighted, well-filled and well-decorated with fresh flowers...
Not to mention that the images themselves are worth a small fortune...
