Albufeira was originally a small fishing village and I think fishing is still the main activity in here. The place is ideal if you are looking for Sun, Sea and sandy beaches and good restaurants. There are many English tourists coming here every summer but you will also find Germans, some Italians, Spanish and Portuguese of course!
I spent here one week and from Albufeira I also visited Lisbon on a daytrip. Albufeira, as I said, it's small but nice. There are lots of bars, clubs and a big disco, Kadoc. I think this place is fit to young people but to families too. Everyone may find something interesting to do. |

I love the Algarve too! :-) I visited Albufeira in February a few years ago - it was pretty quiet then, but the weather was fantastic compared to the UK! :-) I should visit in the summer next time! | rita_simoes Tue Sep 18, 2007 16:21 UTC
