This community is to the west of Fort Worth. It is far enough away from the Metroplex to retain some elements of a rural Texas town, however close enough to be picking up a large amount of growth. The historic center makes an appealing day trip with the centerpiece being the Parker
County Courthouse. However, a drive on the historic trail will reveal several old homes worth seeing.

  • Pros:Nice areas to visit, appealling in both terms of history and architecture
  • Cons:High growth in this area has created a lot of traffic
  • In a nutshell:This is a worthy day trip from the Metroplex and allows a good look at a Texan town culture
