Monet's gardens

Sheri and I are certainly fans of botanic gardens regardless of where we happen to be in the world. Giverny is on the tourist radar for one particular reason. It is the home of Claude Monet, who is a master of impressionism. His art needs no introduction, and most people who come here are well aware of at least some of his works. His home and adjacent gardens are extremely popular, especially in the springtime. Monet is Sheri's favorite artist and she was overjoyed at the prospect of coming here. This makes a nice day trip out of Paris. Be advised that there will be a lot of people here. Those seeking out the gardens in hopes of getting solitude will have their hopes quickly dashed as the tour busses arrive. Those who seek a variety of color and floral displays will not be disappointed. The French have always been known for their affinity for gardens and floral displays. Therefore, it is no wonder that France produces a wealth of artists and is so often in itself the subject of the artwork.
