"City and Mountains" Santiago by sswagner
Santiago Travel Guide: 948 reviews and 2,197 photos
Our introduction to South America was a trip that involved visiting some friends and spending time with them. We did to see some of the city and decided that Chile seems like a fascinating place to explore. In my next trip here, I hope to explore more of the mountains or perhaps the Pacific coast.
Santiago itself is set inland and is up near the Andes Mountains. These are the highest mountain in the American continents. A lot of people live in Santiago, so it keeps a busy feel to it.
- Pros:In a beautiful region with high mountains and is not far from the coast
- Cons:Very high population and has heavy smog at times.
- In a nutshell:Some interesting sites in the city, but I recommend getting into the countryside
