The Situation Last time we were here we had a look at all the new security measures that had been put in place at the airport and around Nairobi. Since the MANPADS attack on an airoplane in Mombasa security has been greatly improved and there are 5 watchtowers around the perimeter of Jomo Kenyatta Intl Airport. I reckon it's a lot safer than most European, American and other international airports, where MANPADS launched against planes are still a huge threat. |
Checklist To Be Updated - But be assured that it is possible to feed and live from here using Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). Many TV journalists simply rely on other rumous that it's not possible, too unreliable, etc. Do yourself a favour go down to the faciltity meet the guys, be nice to them and things should work out okay. We did a live from the roof of KBC with a beautiful background of some moving traffic and a Jacaranda tree in full flower. It took a lot of effort but we pulled it off.
At this point I think Camerapix now has a feed and live facility so maybe you can avoid KTV |

sebblit7 Sun Jul 20, 2008 20:25 UTC UPDATE! Came back for this dish, served in "The Exchange Bar"on 1st floor... they don't do it anymore. But, the Pili Pili Pouisson, is cooked to similarly, golden crispy skin, this time the baby chicken is segmented and nice and spicy. Yum! |
