Croatian beach towns are known to be beautiful. Porec is one of these towns. During the Summer months, however, the place is flooded with tourists, and finding a place to stay is a shot in the dark. The town itself, however, is very nice on the eyes, if not the wallet. Prices are jacked up during tourist season, so choose wisely your poison (we found cheap Slivovice everywhere and basically lived off the stuff). But you can find cheap drinks and eats if you don't get sucked in by one of the nice restauranteurs. A good place to visit once. |

JLBG Thu Feb 24, 2005 09:50 UTC Good start ! I hope you will put more on Porec, a city I always enjoy a lot though touristy. If you visit early morning, then you will avoid most of the crowd, believe me ! |
