Henley on Thames Travel Guide: 24 reviews and 67 photos

I used to work in the Red Lion Hotel here in Henley for some 6 months after I graduated from high school.

It's a cute little town with good connections to London but I wouldn't say there's much for a tourist to see. Besides, being a location for the rich Londoners to relax and spend their weekends, it's also a surprisingly expensive town. George Harrison has his house up the hills too! ;)

Anyway, if you do come here, come when it's the famous annual Henley Regatta, that's when the town really gets alive and jam-packed with people.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Nice sceneries, Henley Regatta in the summer
  • Cons:Expensive, not much to see
  • In a nutshell:More a place for the Londoners to have a relaxing weekend than a place for a foreign traveller to visit.
