Although the so called 'Falling Tower' is just a part of the architectural ansamble, it became a symbol of Pisa. It is obviously caused by the fact of unusual orientation of the tower. To speak honestly, other parts of Pisa's architecural treasure - baptistery and cathedral, are also not so straight-and-parallel-lined ones, but particularly tower's 'falling' behaviour made Pisa famous. |
