Bellingham can be a nice cheap town to live in if you play your cards right. Great location if you want a small town atmosphere, but you want access to big cities like Vancouver and Seattle. Visitors should go online and check out the WWU calendar for theater/music/art events on campus; the Bellingham Herald for downtown happenings; and What's Up Magazine for shows by local bands. VirtualTourist member LeoM is a great resource and local expert if you need more info/pics from Bellingham. I'm vegetarian so all my restaurant tips include places that are veggie friendly. Being that I no longer live in Bellingham, I can't guarantee that anything I've included in my guide is still valid. The city is still growing and changing. Bars are closing, but maybe new ones are opening. |
