Shakespeare worked hard at his writing but also had to run this Hostelrie to help make ends meet.
He was often called to the kitchens to peel potatoes during the weekends when Stratford was full of tourists.
He wasn't at home when I called.
Be advised that this is not a Hostel and I saw backpackers being refused entry. |
| HMP Royal Shakespeare Theatre |
| | The Royal Shakespeare Theatre I'm guessing that this place was built after Shakespeare had left Stratford, I can't believe that he would have allowed his plays to be performed in what looks like a Victorian prison block. |
| | Inspiration There were constant clues as to how Bill was to come up with names for the plays, what he wrote. |
