| | Baku For many, Baku is a foreign area of the world which many have not heard of, but is becoming evermore increasingly popular. Since the planning and construction of the BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Cheyhan) pipeline, many western companies have jumped at the chance to make their claim in Baku's wealth of oil.
For me, Baku is one of the most cultured cities in the world, and definately one thats not without it's little quirks! |
Gobustan I visted Gobustan in July 2005 with my friend. We visited the mud volcanoes which were, for just mud, pretty spectacular. The scenery around Gobustan is also something that you have to draw a breath to take it all in.
After the mud volcanoes we visited the Gobustan Caves, along with the museum which for small resources was very well set out. The carvings were very impressive as well.
I would definately recommend that people visit this little oracle in Azerbaijan, it definately was worth the time! | | |
