The Rich & The Famous, The Sun & The Sea A lot has been said about the segregated LA. So out of curiousity, we hired a limousine to take us around. It did cost us a fortune. About USD 100 for the first 2 hours. First stop was at the Hollywood Boulevard to see what the hype was all about. Then, we moved on to Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and Downtown, passing by some of the ethnic neighbourhoods. The next day, we were driven by friends to Venice Beach to spend a good part of the day there. Universal Studio was the last stop in our itinerary before our departure.
Our verdict: True. Segregated and sprawling. But it gives LA its character. Our favourite spot: The animated beach life, of course! |
