A Fabulous New Years in London!

by hotsauce28 - last update: Mar 18, 2006

Happy New Year!

Fireworks off the London Eye
Never in a million years did I think I would be in England... in the WINTER!!
I had the opportunity so this year I packed my skates and scarf instead of the usual bikini and sunscreen and off I went to Jolly Old England!
(I think they're jolly 'cause there's so many pubs there!)

This trip for me was an absolute blur (no, i wasn't drunk the whole time..) so you'll be dissapointed if you're looking for where to eat and what costs how much.

This is a great city with lots to do and see but unfortunately I was only here for a short time but what a time I had!

So enjoy the "tips" and pics and my blah, blah, blahs....
=)

Rining in the New Year with a pocket full o' beer

"English" words that make me giggle:

Mingin

"English" words that make me crazy:

chips are fries and crisps are chips..

English people can't skate.

Don't get offended please... The first rink we went to was an absolute gong show. As soon as the people entered the rink they were falling all over each other. It was like watching a bunch of drunk circus clowns on ice.. (i'm sooo gonna hear about this..)

The 2nd rink (this one) had better skaters... not much better, but not hazardous. But for a city of non skaters, they have the prettiest outdoor rinks!

Pros:"a melting pot of the old and new, cultures, races..."
Cons:"it's bloody expensive!! and the rain.."
In A Nutshell:"It's more than I ever imagined!"
