| Poppies amid the wildflowers |
I had one month to prepare for my trip to Paris, Brittany, and Normandy.
My hotel choices came down to two - one in Audierne, and, one in Douarnenez. I chose Audierne for two nights but in my wanderings ended up in Douarnenez one night for dinner. (and in fact chose to eat at the second-choice hotel, to see what it was like and perhaps decide upon a future visit).
I love just wandering the back roads of France. The roads are so well signposted, and the roundabouts are so easy to use, it is impossible to get lost.
After my dinner, I decided to take scenic route home. I passed by these wildflowers and screeched to a stop. I backed up, and took many pictures.
This one is my favorite. |
