"Among the fields of Bali" a Bali Travel Page by hailsbails

I stayed in Bali with my family for two weeks. My ideal holiday was laxing in the sun, which i did plenty of, unfortunately i drank the water and also got serious sunstroke and was in bed for half the trip! Good ol Bali belly! Hehe!! Unfortunately my pictures are only developed ones that i have to scan...Also fortunately my family got back home a week before the bali bombings..

This was the most horrible part, after the plane had landed, and we walked outside, it was humid as hell, i couldnt handle it and thought i couldnt breath. Our driver told us its 90% humidity! But like all things our bodies adapted and we were used to it after a few days. The place we spent most our time was around our hotel pool. Me and my Mum especially were best friends with the bar pool. We could sit there in our seats in the pool sipping cocktails all day!!!

After falling sick and sunburnt like a tomato. I lost my enthusiasm to even leave the hotel, i got sick of the people in the streets saying G'Day as if we were Australians, very offensive haha. But in the end it was all too much, i just wanted to look around in the shops without being bothered. Although you pick up some very cheap clothes, perfume, oakleys, and jewellery for close to nothing. It became too much in the end, and my patience wore thin. All and all it was a good time. Just a little overwhelming for a small town girl like me!!! But definately worth a look!!!
