It TWAS a looong trip! | Nothings complete without a few drinks!! |
Where else to party hard, but in Dublin. I love the Irish, man do they crack me up!!! As planned, i was meeting my Norwegian friend Jacob in Dublin. It was a 12 hour trip, by bus and ferry, from London, to Hollyhead, then FINALLY Dublin. Like all things, nothing is normal, unless something bad happens to me. During the trip to Dublin, we stopped off half way between Holyhead and London...I was trying to top up my english mobile, and the money didnt go through, so the men at the service station, were transferring the money back to my visa! I ran outside to get on the bus to continue travelling, only to see its ass driving off down the road. It was just like a movie, i ran my little heart out, but i never caught it. Everything i owned was on that bus, all i had was my mobile phone with no money on it, and a visa card which was virtually maxed out! Cut a long story short, the guys at the service station, were screaming at this guy from National Express, because the bus wouldnt turn around. 30 minutes ticked by and after a while the manager (Steve) came over and said i have good news and bad news. I said WHAT!!!!!! He said the bus wont turn around. Soo whats the bluddy good news??? He says...IM GOIN TO DRIVE YOU!!! It was the awesomest thing ever. So funny. We were driving 150 km down the road, looking in on buses to see if i knew anyone..I didnt know anyone from a bar of soap, so this was harder than ever!!! Finally found the bus, and i got to know Steve within 30 minutes, these are the best moments!!! But hoping back on that bus has gotta be the most embarassing moment for me ever!! Everyone laughed their ass off at me!!! |

| | Good times! After arriving in Dublin at 11pm i couldnt find my norwegian friend, and couldnt get hold of him as i had no MONEY ON MY PHONE!!! Hahaha so i took a taxi, driving all around town looking for his motel. The cab cost me 30 euro, and all the banks were on strike, so we had to drive around too all different ATM's, which most of them didnt work anyway, it was ridiculous!! After all that hastle and a waste of 30 minutes, i found Jakey, he was drunk as hell! So that night in our small crusty backpackers room, we drunk the vodca i brought on the ferry!! The good times had only begun...My poor liver!!!!! And it goes a little something like this! |
Two weeks of blurry dramas! From the night i got to Dublin, to the night we left, we were always drinking..Those two weeks are a little rusty, dont remember, but i enjoyed myself. The best place ever to party. And the locals were awesome to top it off. When we went into a pub, everyone was so awesome, i had so many laughs with some of the old men. They taught me a few party tricks too, which i will have forever. The funniest thing was, everyone gave me ***, as i was travelling with a Norwegain. It sounds a little odd, when hes Norwegian and im a New Zealander...coming from opposite sides of the world. But as the trip went on, things got better everyday. We walked the streets of Dublin till our legs fell off, and we were virtually legless anyway, as we were trollied! After doing all the touristy things that we could. We had some time for shopping, and of course drinking with the locals everynight! I met another New Zealand friend in Dublin who lived there, so we had free accomodation which was awesome!! The place we were staying at was no where close to being worth 50 euro a night! Like every trip, we had our dramas though, being ripped off and bludged off in the street is common. Be cafeful with that!!!!! | | | Outside the Guinness factory!! |
