Ahhh Mount Maunganui, known as "The Mount" by Kiwis...This perfect summer spot, is ideal for singles, couples and families. Its a lush area, surrounded by hollywood look alike mansions, and beautiful sandy beaches, with perfect crystal blue water..The guys arent too bad either!!!

The real estate region of The Mount, has rocketed sky high over the last 6 years. Even for a piece of land its phenomenal what you pay!! So this nice wee house in the picture, is where me and my friends stayed, for a few weeks, during the new year break in 2003/2004. It was so awesome, made you feel on top of the world. And you can see the world sitting on the balcony gazing out into the horizon, watching the peaceful ocean!!! Thank god for having a few rich friends...

Now you see that big green piece of land sticking up in the background.....Well that is MOUNT MAUNGANUI..Hehe its not much of sight from ground. But climb to the top, and you can see the whole town. Over summer, the town flucuates an extra estimated 10,000 people. New Years is usually the big night. Where beaches are lined with all kinds of different people from all over the country side. Live bands play all night, and roads are shut off, and playgrounds and big rides like at a carnival are set on the streets. Kareoke is available if you like to sing in front of audiences of 5,000!! Not my cup of tea, but whatever floats your boat, im sure you will find it here!!!
