Ko Phi Phi Don Things to Do Tips by hash09

My tour guide name is Ibrahim, he been guiding me from A to Z and even follow me everywhere i go each time which sometimes i feel annoiying by that, its not to say that i did not thank to him, but i need some private time for myself for my holiday.

He have inviting me for dinner and i did accept the offer because he help me and i dont want to disappoint him with pushing the invitation.

The next day, he came very early to my room and bring me a breakfast, and i feel weired already and asking myself, is this he been offering to each of his tourist ? free ride for snorkeling, dinner, bring me breakfast, walk me back to my room, guiding me at every inches i went, and have told me that he wanted to call me when i get back to KL, then i said i dont mind about it. but still I dont understand why, something telling me that this guy have a differents feelings for me.

For my last day in phi phi, i went to view point to see the whole of phi phi don, when we were at the top of the hills, he made call to his friends in Yala which in east southern thailand, after a few mins, he ask me to talk with his friends, his friends did speak malay and he have talk on behalf of him and tell how Ibrahim felt for me. My guest are right, this guy has something which made him want to be with me all the time. His friends have told me that, all this while, he been seeing so many people and he never have a feelings for his tourist, but this time is differents, but i have told his friends that, i am here in phi phi just for 2 days visits and i did not looking for anyone during my holiday, and if i do come back, that will be after a year or so, and may be come with someone special.... i never know, but for now, i just love to have him as a friends.

When the time for me to leave, i did not give him a last visit. I dont want to give him any hope, i think he knows what i have told his friends about what i want from him, i have to break his heart that way.... i know the way i do is wrong and rude, but i dont know what to do or what to say.

I am a starburn kind of person really head stone, when i say i want that, no matter what i will get the thing i wanted to have.....i'll do anything for that. I would like to do snorkelling and i wanted to see the beauty of under water world, and i been advice by so many experience people not to do snorkelling because i cannot really swim.

I reach at phi phi at 10.30am and i had half day tour to Loh samah bay and to maya at 12.30, i just got excited about it and in the same times my heart beat goes fast because i wanted to do the thing which beyond my experience. The day not really good day, heavy wave because of ranning in the morning and it still windy. On the boat we have to face the raugh wave and we all wet before we reach to the distination for snorkelling.

When we reach to the distination, i had a little fear... i am ready with my life jacket and had mask on my face, i dont even know how to breath with using mouth, because the mask has been close my nose and can breath from there..... it is my bad day, first when i wanted to going down to the water, i fell on the boat, my head hits the wood, it is pain it because my feet was stuck from the hanging stairs from the boat. ok im fine with that, then now its time for me to go down to the water, i dont know what happen, i feel so ligh and my life jacket control my body and the water with a little raugh wave bring me here and there.... i almost drowning, but still i wanted to do it, so i try to do snorkelling and again i dont know how to use the mask, i couldn't breath and i swallow a lots of water, then the pilot save me and bring me to the boat.... i still laughing because i find myself as a loser and starburn... and i was hanging myself to the boat and try to use the mask... and i learn a little from there... the rest of the tourist already at maya bay, but im still there hanging myself at the boat and the pilot bring me to the maya bay by the boat. It was quite embarrasing for me and almost give up for the next day trip to maya bay for second snorkelling... but i learn something from there and i make use of that on my second day of doing snorkelling.

Early in the morning, my door has been nock by someone, when i open it, it is Ibrahim with a pack of breakfast for me, i was so shock but i thank him for that, and then he leave, he said he will be back at 12pm for the snorkelling trip, i dont want to do it in my thought. About 11am he came, with happy face he said, i got tourist, u can come with us... there are a group of thai student having holiday and would like to do snorkelling... again i feel afraid if i did something stupid like yesterday... and i was so nurvous.

Today, the pilot teaching me a little bit of swimming method and i had fun with that... so i can make myself stabil on the water surface... i thought im the only person who are swimming with life jacket, but there are a few girls did the same thing and they also cannot really swim and they have boyfriends to guide them, so i wasn't the only person who are a loser. And after awhile in the water, he started asking me to use the mask...

When i try to use the mask, i try it and make myself confirtable with the mask. When i get use to it, i try to do snorkelling with the pilot of the boat next to me... and i did it for a few mins, its awesome to see fish swimming here and there very close to me.... i had fun with doing that and then they throw bread to feed the fish and all the fished came to catch the bread and it look awesome... With little knowledge of swimming i had, i try again to swim and bring myself to see other things under water, and i did swim quite far from the boat.

And then Ibrahim was asking me to swim until salamah bay offshore, and slowly i swim, it quite tiring and i almost cannot swim anymore... but i try and finally i did reach until the offshore of salamah bay.

I really love to see underwater life... all the fishes with a lots of colors, feed them with food and such... i really wanted to do that again..... hey hey hey, i did it finally!! i did snorkelling... hahaha

When i did snorkelling, i can see all fishes in a lots of color, there are a gray color fish, yellow line color fish, blue color fish and all, but i didn't see clown fishes (nemo :P ).... but then again, at some point, the underwater life are died, polution i guess from the boat or oil from the boat, sad to see such things... i dont know what will happen to the underwater life and all colorfull fishes after 20 years from now....

For the fist day at loh samah bay, i didn't have a chance to cross the small cave going to maya bay by swimming, but on the second day, i did it very well.

Before reach to the offshore of loh samah bay (cave) i have to swim a little, after i reach to the point and taking deep breath after swimming and see underwater life at the same time, i have to walk on the sharp rock, it is pain to walk on that rock, it also made my journey more advanture with hits by the raugh wave and have to becarefull with the sharp stone and all, but we manage reach to the small cave. From the cave i can walk to my favourite maya bay.

This is where the beach film has been made, a storey about a secreate island in thailand... but it is not a secrete place anymore. Loh samah bay basically connected with Maya bay

Before i reach to maya bay from Loh samah bay (small cave), i have to walk throught the small jungle or bushes..... If you would like to stay here, there are a tand to rent, there are no shops at all if you would like to have something at nite, there are a toilet and a small chelet.... it seems no many people would interested to stay there, because there are no complete facilities and it would be dark at night as there are not electric facilities, that is why people would love to have a day visit at the island.

Maya Bay is a beautiful beach, it is clean, had clean clear crystal water and it a short beaches. This is where the beach film has been filmed. The storey is about a secrete beautiful island island which they thought the place haven't discover by anyone, but now the island are no longer a secrete island anymore.

This place also known as a marine national park, During the day here, most people likes to sits at the beach and do sunburn, but basically the boat pilot prefer to be at the area only a few hours before they heading to monkey bay.

See i did not lie about the crystal water, i can see my own toe too... and i can see the fish... i been visited maya bay for 2 days straight and always wanted to catch the fish with my hands, but it didn't work... i saw the boat pilot can catch the fish by his hands, so i wanted to try to do the same thing... but i can't get any :(

I dont know what else i can say about this small island, but i just love the beach and it blue crystal water.... it so wonderful and beautiful.
