View of the Garfagnana from Barga It was a treat to experience Barga, but I wasn't expecting having to hitchhike into town. The train arrives about 20km outside of town and the listed bus did not bother arriving nor were there any taxis. I had friends to meet up the mountain at Il Ciocco resort so I hit the road and found a friendly lift.
The place is special. My previous comment was that there was not much infrastructure for back-packers but see comment below from doggybag about the emergence of some new options in town. good news! |
