The Road Less Traveled is Hard to Find (but exists I had no trouble securing a pansion using the counter at the train station. And my accomodations were just fine (sure I was hot. there was a heat wave!!). But there was a terrace to cool off on (see pic). It was also on a non-touristy street, so I could sit on the terrace and listen to the sounds of my neighbors: the cooking, the singing, the showers, the italian banter. I thought it was very charming.
But it was summer and the heat and the dust started to wear on me so I sought solitude and a GREEN spot. Boboli gardens was a treat. |
|  | Some views are more interesting than you think So - this may not have been a sweeping view, but I sure got a taste of local flavor when I sat out here with my evening snack and vino. Don't insulate yourself!
Sorry I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the place. I do remember that it was on Via di Inferno. |
