Nightlife Spot: Spamalot
I have seen almost all the current shows in Las Vegas. I guess when you go 4-5 times a year for 30 years, you get to see them all. We finally got to see Spamalot at the Wynn. This is from the Monty Python's Flying Circus folks....hated their TV show, but loved this play. Spamalot is also on Broadway of course, and we have been listening to the soundtrack for a couple years. Nice to finally see it in person! The theater and cast were just wonderful, and we laughed all through the 90 minute show. The music is very good, and although some of the content is mature (some words and sight gags), this is a good show for teens to adult. It's always great when the show goes outside itself to make you remember that this is all fantasy....and they do it frequently, making lots of references to Vegas and current events...in a show set in the middle ages! For a special treat...see if you can get seat D101 :) If you are tired of seeing acrobats or magicians, try Spamalot!
