Portobello Square is so fun.. You can buy just about anything; food, toys, clothes.. I got a gorgeous velvet purse there! My sister and I stopped into a really cool pub called The Mau Mau bar. It was so cozy with a nice bar, and comfy leather couches all over the place. People were incredibly friendly there. And then on somewhat of a whim we decided to get tattoos. What a good souvenier, I think!

I have wanted to see the Tower of London as long as I can remember. So when my sister and I went to London, of course this was #1 on my list. We took the tube to get there, which was very easy.. and walked under the highway to get there. It's quite expensive, but we definatly enjoyed it. It does close early in the winter so plan accordingly. I understand that there can be long lines and it can be quite crowded in the summer too. The buildings are just massive and ancient, and filled with history, and they do a good job with signs and tours to share the information about the buildings and the history. Do take a tour guided by one of the Beefeaters. The Bloody tower is very interesting.. and the Crown Jewels are nice. A bit ostentatious for American taste, but lovely to see just the same. The braver amongst us really loved the torture chambers too! It was everythign Id imagined it would be.

Everyone thinks this is the London Bridge as in the song "London Bridge is Falling Down".. Nope, it's not.. It's the Tower Bridge. It is very very beautiful.. The best places to see it from are the Tower of London and of course the London Eye!

We visited Westminster Abbey and saw the Houses of Parliment and Big Ben. It was so amazing, we came out of the tube station, and suddenly turned around and saw Big Ben right behind us. This is so silly, but it was almost like seeing a celebrity. Id only seen it in pictures and television so to see it real-live and in person was breath-taking. - When my sister pointed it out to me, I just screamed and said to my her, "Oh my God, we're really in London!" - stating the obvious.. but it was so exciting. Here's my sister at Westminster Abbey. Which was really great to see. The architecture is fascinating. I wish we could have seen inside though.. but thery werent running any tours that day. boo hoo!
