The East Coast (Bavaro) beach strip is one of the best choices for those seeking the perfect beach and rest and relaxation vacation. This is a place for vegging out: miles of silky-fine white sand, deserted beaches with coconut palms.This area is made up almost completely of large all-inclusive resorts populated mostly by couples or families, so most resorts focus on family entertainment.

Sparkling white-sand and blue-green beach, that is Bavaro Beach. The ocean is very calm during the day, but tends to get a bit windy and choppy in the late afternoon.

The shore is dotted with coconut trees, so althought there weren't that many palapas to go around in the resort, you can always find plenty of shade under the palm trees (just check to make sure the tree is not abundant with coconut fruits! Otherwise, it's a BIG ouch if one falls on you!). To ensure the safety of guests, the resort does have workers climbing and pruning the trees all the time.
