KYOTO - a city where the old meets the new

Don't come to Kyoto for two or three days. The city has so many things to offer that seven days I stayed in Kyoto were not enough to see everything I should see paying a visit to Kyoto.
The old meets the new here. There streets are very modern and wide with modern buildings on both sides. But behind the modern buildings you will find old wooden houses. How marvellous and charming could have been the city one century ago.

My activities in Kyoto:

Day 1. walking in the Gion district and hunting for geishas and mikkos
Day 2. Kyoto Imperial Palace, Sento Imp. Palace, Ginkakuji Temple, Heyan Jingu
Day 3. Nishi Honganji temple, Nishiki Market, Nijo Castle, Katsura Imperial Villa,
Day 4. Hisgashi Honganji temple, Sangusangen-do temple, trip to Inari
Day 5. the Golden Pavillion, Ryoanji temple, Kiyomizudera temple
Day 6. trip to Arashiyama
Day 7. Gion Matsuri Fesival Parade
