relatively unknown till the past 2 years, this island is fast becoming commerciallised, so i would advice you to visit it as fast as you can before it loses its naturalness. Part of its allure is the relatively untouched beauty... one of the top snorkelling/diving spots in Malaysia, this island is an experience that is everlasting. Even if you visit now, you will notice that many of the resorts have been built in the past year or two.. with more resorts being planned to be built. after talking to the locals around, i found out, that many of the corals have died out because of the divers/snorkellers who would pick up coral reefs for fun, and thereby not only killing the coral reef, but also lessening the food source for fishes, and also a home for the fish..

ahh, after watching "Finding Nemo", its hard not to address the fish by Nemo, and so i admit my guilt.. i do refer to the elusive clown fish by NEMO! snorkelling/diving guides will advice you on the best spots to find certain fishes, and some would even try to catch a clown fish a.k.a. NEMO! be warn though, this fish is defenceless without the protection of its home, so be smart and leave it alone!
