"York - A step back in time" a York Travel Page by svoures

I have always wanted to visit York and finally I got a chance to visit it this November, for a weekend. Weather being cold, I took the decision not to spend a lot of time visiting its many suggested attractions, but concentrate instead in walking around the centre, sampling the whole pre-Xmas atmosphere and, as always, try a few lovely restaurants and pubs.

As in most of my other travel pages, I avoid speaking too much about the well known monuments and 'must see' places of the place. There are loads of other travellers that have made a far better job at that.

I mainly concentrate on reviewing 'out of the ordinary' places, as well as places to get good food and drinks.
