City of Love and Romance

According to our very pretty local guide, Hangzhou is the city of romance. Beautiful Chinese love stories and legends, for example "The White Snake", "Butterfly Lovers" (aka "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai") etc were said to have taken place here. We arrived in Hangzhou and were greeted by drizzling rain, and that really added to the romantic ambience of this beautiful land...

Our stay in Hangzhou was short (just a day), and we definitely wished we had more time to enjoy the sights and picturesque scenery. Here's what we've seen and done in Hangzhou:
