The beds were very comfortable, great hot water system, friendly staff for the most part. If you're a younger person, no matter what the people in front say, go to Calle Ashford or drive to Calle Ponce de Leon for nightlife, because La Plaza Mercado was just scary. Be sure to scavenge the room for their little pieces of paper with their policies on it, because a woman with glasses in the lobby will nag to you and call you an ignorant American in Spanish. She didn't realize I am Puerto Rican, too, and I could understand her insults.. Everyone else is very comforting, and the patio area is just lovely. At night, you can watch the bats eat the insects flying around. Really cool experience for the sober and wasted alike.

Unique Qualities: Great locale, as you're in safe walking distance to Calle Ashford, the Walgreens, three blocks from the shore and a public beach.. the bats, I must say again, are a cool aspect of the place. For the four of us to stay for a week, we each only paid about $120 I believe, for a Spring Break visit.

I didn't stay here, but I looked around the place, and it seems very clean and very well kept and maintained by a pleasingly friendly staff. They enjoy talking to you if you have questions, and the atmosphere was very positive and relaxing, but not sedating.

Unique Qualities: Very traditional Puerto Rican façade and interior decor. It is very pleasing.
