Golden paths through the golden city

by tauroctonia - last update: Jul 13, 2005

one of the many churches in Prague
Even though Prague is literally swapped by tourists from all over the world, it still offers quiet places - the Belvedere and the royal garden (Královská zahrada) just above the castle, for example. To get to the quieter and also less expensive areas, just get out of the busy city centre or climb one of the many hills around. Picturesque views over the golden roofs and church towers of Prague are worth it!

Pros:"especially the Jewish quarter with all the Synagoges, art and history en gros"
Cons:"the old town (though interesting to visit!) is quite overrun and, of course, also overpriced"
