Welcome to my homepage! I am Belgian but I have been living in Spain since 2002. I love travelling, but since I live in Spain, since it is such a big country with so many beautifull places and so many things to see, I don´t feel I have to travel abroad anymore, except to visit friends and family. I live in Murcia, San Javier, near Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea.
Please find below some comments on my favorite Belgian places: |
| | Roosdaal Roosdaal is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Borchtlombeek, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Lombeek, Pamel and Strijtem. On January 1, 2006 Roosdaal had a total population of 10,745. The total area is 21.69 km˛ which gives a population density of 495 inhabitants per km˛. Roosdaal is well-known in Flanders for its berries through its annual strawberry convention. |
| | River, Dender The Dender River flows through the heart of Aalst and Ninove, good sized Belgian communities and has been an important factor in the foundation and maintenance of a sustained community on this site for many hundreds of years. The river is a great place to go for a walk, and has a towpath following the banks, allowing you to lap up the best of the man made and pastoral scenes in the town. |
| | Bunkers Left from the second world war. |
| | Schelde Another very important belgian river. |
| | Brugge Known as the Venice of the North, Bruges is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
It was a justified motive that prompted UNESCO in 2000 to include the entire historical city centre on the World Heritage list. Walking along the maze of winding cobbled alleys and romantic canals, you imagine yourself to be in medieval times. The wealth of museums is a striking image of this city's stirring history.
Bruges is also home to contemporary culture, such as the new Concert Hall, which is one of the most prominent music complexes in Flanders.
The restaurants in Bruges which offer gastronomic cuisine and the exclusive hotels are a true feast for those who enjoy the good things in life. |
| | Green landscapes. Althought they say there is no green left in Belgium, you can find millians of these landscapes, always green of course. |
| | Gent I just love this town. I have lived here while studying. It is such a beautiful town and full of life, lots of events, lots of culture, monuments,... parties organised by tens of thousands of students. In Summer they do the Parties of Gent, 10 days of concerts, events, parties. Around the 20th of July... |
