Not only would you find good prices but the fruits and veggies are fresh from the farms;the surrounding are colorful and full of life;life that makes Paris a delight to be in. It would be interesting for visitors to see at least one market while in town.

the metro, i think the best in the world is in Paris. 16 lines crisscrossing the whole city with impeccable puntuality. 214 km of lines !!!including one fully automated line 14 no driver,just computers guiding you !!! the first line was done in 1900, line 1 ::) it has 300 stations along the routing system !!!with 384 points of stops. 4th in the world in terms of passenger carried 7th in the world on its lines, but 1st if we include the RER lines ! 3rd in the world in number of stations! max speed is 80 km/hour it also has 4 lines of Tramways;and of course the RER trains that comes into the city, in fact, they are probably the first you see of Paris coming off the airports. the average distance between stations is 548 meters!! of the 214 km of lines 197 is underground next automated line will be line 1 between 2009 and 2010 a project is underway to do so.
