great and tidy as in Paris:: the drinks are flash on the screen sort like a stock exchange style :the prices fluctuate according to the demand of the day. try the second floor 1ére étage.
great for an after work happy hour or just relaxing near Place Vendome

the food has a good variety to go with selective beers bottle or draft. They always have a beer of the day and menu of the day posted. great service whether on the first floor (rds) or second floor (1ére étage); second floor has a beautiful view over to notre dame or place chatelet at an angle.

Favorite Dish: i always try the sausages toulouse, montbeliard, marteau great with fries with a nice cold beer . The trappistes beers in draft are the best. Look for the special of the day posted with chalk on boards.

well seriously now, my best suggestions for eating are
The area around Bastille is the IN place nowdays for romance, you can try the L'an vert du decor at No 32 rue de la roquette or these two at rue de Charonne
Les Portes at no 15 , accent on the southwest and
Cafe du passage at no 12 , accent on the south of France.

I promise I wont bud in while you are around.

I live here and if you try to say a few words in French, you wont have to know the language in Paris, most speak some level of English, if they see you trying theirs first. Of course,you are in France ::)

le chalet des iles, is in the bois de boulogne amongst trees and forest, like I went there for my wedding anniversary and it is superb, the site is in French, but dont be afraid,if you try like i say ,you will be understood,and it is very French resto.traditional.

la Gare, is on the 16th, use to be a train station in the neighborhood of Muette, but many years ago turn into a restaurant, very unique. very romantic and again traditional french, this one has an english version to read. I go here often after work on the way home, very recommended.
