What is there to say about Jerusalem, really? It's such a contentious place, so important to so many people, it's been fought over for centuries, and it evokes definite and strong images from just about everyone - whether they've been there or not. But with all the religious debating, historical significance, and polticial fanagling there, I generally got the sense that most people were just trying to go about their lives like everyone else in the world and, more than anything else, would really just like to live in the true "City of Peace" that it's name suggests it should be.

It's an amazing place, a fascinating place, and at times a very sad place. I know that security concerns keep altering to what degree it's a good idea to go there, but I would highly recommend it as a place to see and explore if you ever get the opportunity.
