The "Death Railway"

The "Death Railway" today brings a peaceful train
During WW2 almost 100,000 people (more than 16,000 soldiers and about 80,000 Asian workers) died under Japanese military power while building the railway to Burma.
It's now a historic (and, by the tropical environment, exotic) place to visit. The famous

The famous bridge was rebuilt so a nostalgic train now can take you for a "historic" trip on the former "Death Railway".

As I learned, the name of the river, Kwai should be pronounced "quei" otherwise it means cow or something... :-)
