Fatehpur Sikri is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height. Though the city is in ruins, it's definitely a place to visit if you are and have some free time in Agra or if you take road transport between Delhi and Agra. |

|  | It was the temporary capital of the Moghul Empire during the reign of Emperor Akbar (1570-1586), now a ghost city with impressive gateways and ornamented palaces built in red sandstone.
It's located on the Delhi-Agra road, 40 km's from Agra. |
