Washington is a temporary home for me, as it is for most residents here who are looking to pick up a year or two of work experience in between school.
Washington is really an up and coming city and under the leadership of the new mayor, the city has gone through a period of all-around rejuvenation marked by falling crime rates, an emerging nightlife, as well as the acquisition of a new baseball team.
DC is divided into four areas: Northwest (NW), Northeast (NE), Southwest (SW), Southeast (SE). In my opinion of these four areas NW is indeed the nexus of life. Within NW there are dynamic neighborhoods such as Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and Georgetown which have a decent variety of bars, clubs, restaurants, and general hangouts. |
