Barcelona, is quite simply, an amalgation of cuisine, art, and a laid-back lifestyle. It is a town that has energy, without having the stresses of a major city. While Barcelona is the heart of Catalunya and has served as a base for "Catalanism" throughout the past, it is nevertheless a highly cosmopolitan city as there will be a large and diverse community of ex-pats and other transplants living here.
