Old town Delhi | Nowhere near rushour. This is quiet. Honest! |
Delhi is such a crazy busy city. Even for me as a Londoner it is amazing. It just never stops. Ever. I am used to the mayhem of trying to drive round huge cities or travel by public transport but nothing like Delhi. It is a proper assault on the senses. I only spent 2 nights in Delhi and I know you could spent years there and not see and experience everything, but I will try through the travelogue and tips to give you a flavour of my experience or the brilliant city of Delhi |
| Heavy load coming through! |
| | Where there's a will there's a way I think Delhi seems to live by the motto "where there's a will there's a way." In all aspects of life all the people I saw or met were so hard working and didn't let the small matter of needing to transport dozens of big heavy boxes and only having an old bike to do it with stand in their way. What a great place! |
Old markets The old narrow market streets are just amazing. There seems to be entire "roads" dedicated to one product. A street of fantastically coloured fabric, a street of car parts, a street of jewellers, a street of book sellers. Just go and explore! | | | Through the old markets by ricksaw |
