Work got me here again for a really short trip. I flew in on Sunday (meaning I left on Saturday) and I left again on Wednesday. Taking the flying time into account, I actually spent more time in the air than on the ground....
Brisbane is actually quite nice, especially if the weather is good, which it was and if the company pays the Stamford hotel!!! I went again for work, actually a workshop that lasted 2 days, which only left half a day for me to visit the city. So I didn't get to see much, except the shopping area in downtown Brisbane. I did however got a few nice pictures out of my hotel window that I didn't want you to miss. |
|  | Across the street This building was across the street from the hotel. Of course it doesn't house a hardware or machinery shop anymore. It's an office building, nicely restored to it's old glory. Completely surrounded by "skyscraping" office buildings this is a nice and calming place among all the concrete and glass surrounding it. |
| | The Stamford hotel This was the hotel they let me stay in. We had a workshop for Coca Cola and they have special rates here. The hotel is really, really nice. It's right next to the river, has really nice rooms and a very good breakfast area looking out over the river but under a canopy to protect you from the sun.
