Tatmadaw commercial

The Tatmadaw holding hostage the whole country

Of course there are 1000 reasons not to go to Myanmar.
Of course I don't buy Nike or other brand clothing cause they are manufatured in sweatshops by people under horrifying conditions.
Of course I don't buy shares on the stock market for its immoral making other people work for your money.
Of course I don't buy fruit from Dole cause the spray the crops with pesticides while the farmers are still in the fields.
Of course I buy as much as I can in the Oxfam shop for its the least I can do.

Still,it was my best holiday ever, with lots to see in a beautful country full of friendly people and problably most of all : few tourists.
The only time we got annoyed was when a groups of tourists (package tour) without consideration for the locals , claimed a sightseeing spot as there own.
We felt ashamed to be a tourist to.

The governement does lots of trade ( = lots of income) with Thailand.Shouldn't we better boycot Thailand so they stop their huge money flow .
I admit I am guilty of supporting the dictatorship with some few dollars (I did all I could to spend as much with the local people).

Of course I am only 1 individual doing the best I can...watching package tour groups who don't care or don't care to know...

Pros:"Friendliest people ever met,beautiful landscape"

In A Nutshell:"Contraversy I agree ,my prays are with the local people"
