"Too late....welcome to Xizang" Tibet by prikje

Maybe we were naive , maybe we are the kind of unrealistic people who hope to find a place where time stood still.
Well in Tibet time doesn't stand still , it goes faster then I ever seen before.
We were hoping to find some of the typical Tibetan culture and customs.
All we saw where the tourist attraction temples surrounded by huge buildings and shopping malls everywhere.
I keep Tibet in my heart as I hoped it still to be but I name it Xizang cause thats what it is now.
We met a Dutch women she said while in tears : "I was here 4 years ago , this is not the Tibet I remembered , I never come back again".

Neither will we.
