At the heart of Athens, in the main square Constitution Square "Platea Syndagmatos" the tomb of the unknown soldier is found at the foot of the Parliment and Govenrment House. The soldiers are members of the Presedential Guard. A special taste in Athens can be watched on Sundays upon the exchange of such guard personnel.
The Guard in their summer "Evzones" the traditional Greek uniform, at the time of exchange that happens each hour daily.

Nice page on Greece- and lovely photos. The Odieon of Herodes Atticus history is very interesting.
Greece looks wonderful
Your photo of what looks like a biker walking past a statue taking a picture is hilarious. Whether intentioned or not it is a great commentary of how not to see things.
Thanks Sayed for your kind words! I m planning visit to Egypt for Christmas and I m really excited about it. I will take language lessons from your homepage... Salamat! ;o)
Nice interesting page.
I agree that archeological museum in Athens is a must. I could spend hours there although usually I'm not museums fan. Thanks for birthday wishes.
