Apparently the Valley gets to hot in the summer for white grapes such as chardonnay and the pinot. But is just right for the Cabs and Merlots.

Yes, I had the same thought about the great RV accident. One poor policeman has had too many doughnuts. I am enjoying your pages very much. Stay away from those Pamplona bulls!

Nice photos and tips. We also enjoy Rombauer. Another winery you might want to visit for an excellant Napa experience is Viader.
Coppola is no longer using his name at this location. It is now Rubicon Estates Winery and things are achangin. $25 to go inside bu that does include wine tasting and a tour of the caves. Cheers.
Rombauer is an EXCELLENT winery - and the entire staff is first rate. I never go to Napa without visiting Rombauer. Mary
It's so funny we both visited the wine country at almost the same time! You went to Niebaum-Coppola too-what a coincidence. I love V. Sattui's grounds and it's great for picnics during summertime. Great tips, Karl!
