Eating my way through Florence

I know I am supposed to write about how incredibly pretty Florence is, the incredible art, Michaelangelo's "David" the Uffizi, but I sure ate a lot. And it was all good. I did my share of walking around, enjoying the architecture, and to burn off the calories, but I could go back just for the food. We ate well and often and drank well and often. Every chiante or tuscan wine with a winery label was great. Some of the house wines were a bit bland, but we made up for it in quantity.

The first sandwich place on Via dell' Oriuolo set the tone for great food to go.

Karl, Santa Croce is the Forest Lawn of Firenze. It is amazing how the statues are just sitting out in the open and with such history attached to them.
