So this picture of Pont St. Angelo with St. Peter's in the background is one of the best I have ever taken. I did a 20 by 30 blow up, framed it and it is in my home office above my digital keyboard. I certainly made it worthwhile to get up at 6 in the morning to take it.

After five years we were able to return to the largest open air museum in the World. This time I was armed with my digital Nikon. My favorite time in Rome is just after dawn. The City is still asleep, a few late night party goers are slowing weaving their way home and the rising sun brings out the pastels that disappear as the day wakes up.

Our most recent trip may also have been titled, Eating Our Way Through Italy. Fortunately there was much great wine and cold beer to wash it all down.

Rome is one of my favorite cities. We had an absolute blast when we visited a few years ago. My favorite time was early in the morning, before the crowds were out and before it got hot. Did I mention it was hot? The Trevi was fun at night with all the people, but in the morning it was just me, the pidgeons and one polizia to make sure I didn't steal it.
