Even on a cool, rainy and windy day it was easy to enjoy Aix. I stayed at l'Epicerie B & B, which right in the heart of the old town. I only need to walk a few yards to enjoy any one of numerous great restaurants.

Happy New Year, Karl! I’m hoping to visit Aix next July for the opera festival, especially since the French and German railways have promised to start a new direct high-speed train connection from Frankfurt to Marseille, stopping in Aix.
