Into the rough country

Few kilometers off the Kuchaman city, you could feel the roughness of this terrain. Though it is still the tip of the great desert, the roughness could be felt.
You can drive through some tribal villages and then reach the sand dunes.
There are many jeeps available in the local area with 4X4 option ( which is essential). If you can give them couple of hours prior notice, whey will remove the hood of the jeep so that you can travel in an open vehicle. This will give you good opportunity for photography.
A trip usually costs 600 rupees/jeep. The trip takes about 2-3 hrs.
Ideal time is to leave by afternoon to avoid the heat. You can come back by sunset.
Usually the trip covers a drive through salt lake, a temple, an old game sanctuary ( it's nothing there but an old guest house and a waterhole). Locals say that once, there were Lions and Tigers... nothing remains now...
A brief drive through a sand dune... this is a nice spot to watch sunset...
