You can see Mont Blanc from here! Geneva, with it's lake and it's gigantic jet d'eau (imagine using that as a bidet! Ooh, actually don't imagine it, it's quite scary. By the way I actually used the smaller ones in Charleroi for this purpose once, I was singing soprano for weeks). A sandwich here cost me the same as the best room in a hostel in Siofok, Hungary, but don't let that put you off. I stayed in the YHA hostel not far from the town centre, beat some people at the giant chess board. Had a lovely ice cream in town in the warm summer evening by Lac Leman. Yeah, it's a beautiful place. When it's sunny. Bet it's a pain in the Khyber when it snows.
